High Index Lenses

We feature the newest thinner and lighter High Index Lenses up to a 1.74 index of refraction. We provide our patients who need a no-line multi-focal lens the superior comfort of Progressive lenses from Varilux, Zeiss, Sola, Nikon, Shamir, and all other top brands.

The all-important ultra-violet coating is available for all lenses as is scratch coating and any color tint imaginable. Transitions and photogray allow for darkening in sunlight and lighten indoors.

Premium Anti-Reflective (AR) or "No-Glare" lenses available

Crizal Anti-Reflective coated lenses with Scotchgard Protector for Ultimate Clarity, Ultimate Scratch Resistance, Ultimate Cleanability, Eliminate scratches, smudge/dust, and glare – providing you with lasting clarity of vision.

Anti-Reflective Coating allows more light to pass through the lens thus reducing glare and actually clearing vision. The coating supplied by Friedman Optometry is 10 layers thick. Our competitors often offer only a 1 layer coat. Your glasses will look better, your eyes will be more comfortable and you will see better with new and improved anti- reflective coating.

Night vision is dramatically enhanced as well. Objects appear brighter and crisper but without glare. In daytime, anti-reflective coating eliminates most reflections for increased comfort and less eye fatigue.

Contact Lenses

If you are thinking about getting contacts, it is time to schedule an eye exam. The doctors at Friedman Optometry are dedicated to helping members of the community see clearly. In addition to traditional glasses and frames, we offer eye exams for prescription contact lenses. We carry several brands of prescription contact lenses.

For those new to contacts, we can help train you to wear and care for them properly. If you do discover that contact lenses are for you, we will help you find the right fit, brand, and prescription.
